>Description:

I used my Archive tape drive again after a long time.
There seems to be a race on closing the device that causes the
system to do a hard reset (no panic) and end up in a state
where the IDE controller won't access the disk, necessitating
the use of the big red button. This is repeatable, at least
on my system, but it sometimes requires more than one attempt.

>How-To-Repeat:

Use the wt driver a few times (on my system, anyway).

>Fix:

I haven't looked into this yet, but I figure system crashes are
serious enough that they ought to get a problem report.
