Using a dozen epair devices can be awkward. It would be preferable if there were some way to name the devices. The prefix should remain "epair" but everything after that should be able to be specified.

 I think either ifconfig name or the new jail management config file
 should be used.  So you have any other uses cases that really need
 special magic?
