HP Pavilion (P7-1145) w/ HIB_707.ROM v7.07 BIOS, Hitachi HDS72101oCLA632 Disk,
SATA Emulation is AHCI
>Description:
On re-boot after installing FreeBSD 9.0 (with the installation CD removed, of course), BIOS reports (I paraphrase) no bootable disk or defective drive.

If I subsequently reboot the installation CD, take the <shell> option in the install program, and use the disklabel program, first with '-w', and then with '-B', and then reboot (after removing the CD), the system boots, but not correctly (at least not as I would expect) because the "boot:" prompt apppears.

Found work-around:=A0 Had been=A0using 'Guided' mode and trying to use=A0th=
 e entire disk, but=A0decided to use=A0a partition this go-round.=A0 Created=
a DOS partition, and=A0then a freeBSD partition and edited it manually.=A0=
Finished the installation, removed the CDROM, re-booted, and freeBSD/amd64=
came up just as pretty as you please.=A0 Must=A0be something peculiar abou=
 t the hardware configuration on the amd64 system; I don't know.=A0 I had no=
trouble at all installing freeBSD/i386 on another computer.
