>Description:

I just switched over to -current. I am using a GNU emacs 18.59 binary
that was working fine under 1.1.5.1, with the TERM environment variable
set to "cons25". Under -current, there are some problems that show up
mostly in the manipulation of the minibuffer on the last line of the
screen. Typically, the first character of the minibuffer is not cleared
by subsequent output, and other corruption occurs thee as well.

It appears that the current behavior of syscons is not compatible with
the current termcap entry.

>How-To-Repeat:

Try emacs v18.59 on the console. If you want a binary, I can send you one.
I haven't had a chance to try to find out what sequence is causing the
trouble.

>Fix:

Setting TERM to "dosansi" is a workaround.
