I use embedded in P6T motherboard Intel 82801JI sound card chipset.
mixer(8) and aumix don't even show that pcm can have 'rec' flag. As a result it is impossible to record anything (like Skype conversation) by the third-party app.

Hi, 

Could you please reboot and select "verbose boot" from the menu.  Once booted, 
also please run "sysctl dev.hdac.0.pindump=1".  You should then end up with 
hundreds more "hda" lines in your dmesg, can you please provide them?

 Realtek ALC888 codec doesn't have hardware loopback to record from
 playback. Quite few HDA codecs can do this now, so this feature is not
 even implemented in snd_hda driver. But even if it would be possile,
 switching recording from mic to post-mix would cause echo to your Skype
 peer, as Skype would also recorded what it just played.
