A HP ProLiant G4 with built in SA6i and a SA6404.
Three logical drives, one on the 6i and two on the 6404, all visible
during POST.

During install and after, FreeBSD will only see the 6i, the additional
controller is not recognized when booting the OS.  A quick check with
an OpenBSD boot disk finds all three drives.

 Sort of solved.
 
 Everything works if the 6400 board sits in slot 1 of the PCI riser cage. 
 If placed in slot 2 or 3, FreeBSD will not see the additional controller 
 even if other OS's will.
 To add to the confusion, in HP's docs the controller board is installed 
 in slot 2.
