>Environment:
FreeBSD xxx 8.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 8.0-CURRENT #3: Tue Apr  7 18:17:23 BRT 2009     root@xxx:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/Core2Duo8  amd64

>Description:
when trying to make use of ral device:

ral0@pci0:6:1:0:        class=0x028000 card=0x3a711186 chip=0x03021814
rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'Ralink Technology, Corp'
    device     = 'RT2525 2.4GHz transceiver + RT2560 MAC/BBP wireless a/b'
    class      = network

to make an AP with hostapd, I get this:

wlan0: Ethernet address: 00:21:91:7b:77:dc
rt2561fw: could not load firmware image, error 2
ral0: rt2661_load_microcode: unable to retrieve firmware image rt2561fw
ral0: rt2661_init_locked: could not load 8051 microcode, error 22

and no network is then created.

>How-To-Repeat:
Use this ral device:

ral0@pci0:6:1:0:        class=0x028000 card=0x3a711186 chip=0x03021814
rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'Ralink Technology, Corp'
    device     = 'RT2525 2.4GHz transceiver + RT2560 MAC/BBP wireless a/b'
    class      = network

and try to make an ap in current as of april 7 2009. tried also current from 27-29 same month, don't know the exact day, failed as well.

Grab this until we get feedback.

To submitter: Do you still have this problem? Can you confirm that
you have tried loading the firmware kernel module manually?
("kldload rt2561fw.ko" looks like it should do what you want)
