Whilst installing Windows7 on a client machine (directly connected to

 sysctl net.link.bridge.pfil_member=0
 sysctl net.link.bridge.pfil_bridge=0
 
 Windows7 client booted and now OK
 
 Forgot to mention my network-setup:
 bridge0, members ath0 (hostap) and bge0
 
 bridge0 has 6 aliases for various jails, all in the same subnet

Can you still reproduce this issue on 8.1-RC2? 
It seems you got all 0s ethernet address which seems to be a bug. 
Would you try the patch at the following URL and see whether it 
extract correct ethernet address?

I'm not sure whether the issue you're suffering from came from all 
0s ethernet address though.

 Enabled bridging wlan0 and bge0 again and cannot reproduce the problem
 no longer exists on FreeBSD-8.0-p2. Suggest to close this bug.

 Thanks for confirming this. Could you check if you still see
 all 0 station address of bge(4)? I'd like to know the patch post to
 the PR is required to address that case.

Close. Submitter confirmed the issue is not present on more recent 
FreeBSD release. However submitter didn't respond to other request 
to test a patch for other possible issue. I think it's ok to close 
now as the main issue was resolved on recent FreeBSD release.
