>Description:
my iwi driver when i'm trying to do:
iwiconfig iwi0 -d /boot/firmware -m bss
or
ifconfig iwi0 up
very often freezes my system, no chance to ctrl+alt+esc, no core, it just simply reboots. another thing when i want to run dstumbler i got an error saying:
unable to ioctl device socket: Invalid argument
or
error: unable to ioctl device socket: Operation now in progress
when i just boot it with iwi_enable="YES" in rc.conf, and do nothing with it, the system is normally running no freezes, just when i touch ifconfig/iwiconfig/dstumbler... it freezes

# dmesg | grep iwi
iwi0: <Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG> mem 0xc0200000-0xc0200fff irq 11 at device 2.0 on pci2
iwi0: Ethernet address: 00:13:ce:dd:0c:04

# pciconf -lv
iwi0@pci2:2:0:  class=0x028000 card=0x27028086 chip=0x42208086 rev=0x05 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
    device   = 'PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection'
    class    = network
>How-To-Repeat:
i don't know how, and why, just when i want to run iwiconfig or ifconfig it just simply freezes

State-Changed-Why:
Can you experience this problem on newer FreeBSD versions too?

State-Changed-By: gavin
State-Changed-When: Thu Aug 28 17:26:28 UTC 2008
State-Changed-Why:
Feedback timeout (3 months). The locking in iwi(4) has been changed
significantly since this PR was submitted, and I know of at least
two deadlocks that have been fixed. Submitter: if you can recreate this
on newer versions of FreeBSD I'll happily reopen this PR.
