>Environment:
Cannot provide information because freebsd cannot be installed
>Description:
Originally encountered problems on a machine that has a 1.4 Ghz AMD Duron
processor. When I attempted to run installation on a machine with a 4.0
Ghz Intel Pentium 4 processor the sysinstall progrram started up. So
apparently the problem lies with the AMD Duron processor.
>How-To-Repeat:
Run sysinstall on a machine with an AMD Duron processor
>Fix:

Use an Intel processor

State-Changed-Why:
Hi,

did you try disabling ACPI during start up? do you see some
other error? Is the machine working at all? Please do note
that this can occur because of a lot of different hardware
related issues or even software issues and we need to determine
what could cause this.

Can you also please try FreeBSD 6.1-BETA? or even a 5.5-BETA
release? Thanks!

State-Changed-Why:
The submitter replied that his problems were solved but that
it might have been by an AMD Duron machine (i do not think
that that was the issue, since that seems highly unlikely).
