>Description:
Upon booting from the boot.flp (downloaded from FreeBSD.org 2.2.8-RELEASE
directory) and configing the kernel via the visual editor, selecting the "fixit"
option and choosing the floppy, my system locks up after asking for the fixit
floppy to be inserted. everything looks like it is working upuntil the floppy seek
returns and asks for the floppy again... it should work, but it doesn't.
>How-To-Repeat:
Boot off the 2.2.8-RELEASE boot floppy, config the kernel via the visual editor,
select the "fixit" option from the menu, follow the prompts for a floppy recovery,
press enter after you have replaced the boot floppy with the fixit floppy and watch your
machine lock... (endless loop)
>Fix:
No Clue... I would think that the fixit floppy img is broken or that
the implementation in the boot floppy is broken...

State-Changed-Why:
Hopefully later fixit floppies from later versions of FreeBSD work
ffor you. I am closing this PR now because in its current state,
it is never going to be solved.
