Dear Freebsd User,
I need some help! yesterday I bought a Mainboard MB VIA EPIA-5000 MINITX 533 MHZ and I assembled it. But each time if I want to install my freebsd 5.3 I always get the message "Write failure on transfer! (wrote -1 bytes of 1425408 bytes.
Is there anybody to fix this problem?

with best regards:
Robert S.

 This is not a PR.

Please post this on stable@ Please try a 5.4RC snapshot. Please be more
descriptive: when exactly in the installation process does this happen,
what is the output of the emergency shell (Alt+F4) if it get there .....

State-Changed-Why:
Although this does not seem to be a PR i requested
the submitter whether it still applies and what he
did so far (to get a better description and such).

State-Changed-Why:
No feedback had been given , nor is it anyclear at all what
the actual problem is. I can imagine that this is because
a corrupted CD, a FTP transfer that got stuck, or many
other different things that could have occurred.

I advice the submitter to try installing FreeBSD 6.0
with a fresh CD and see whether the problem still
persists. In that case please get back to me so that
we can clarify the issue and we will be able to look
into the problem.

But as long that is not the case, close the PR
