>Organization:
>Environment:
5.2.1-RELEASE-p9
>Description:
On the IBM Thinkpad R31 I worked with FreeBSD 4.8, no problems what so
ever.. I decided to install 5.2.1. Immediately at the first reboot
attempt it failed to do so. Now, the laptop does not only refuse to
reboot, but it doesn't power up on battery alone anymore. The only way
to start the machine is to plug in for 2s or so the powerplug, than I
can unplug it and work..
>How-To-Repeat:
Install on a fresh R31 5.2.1..
>Fix:
I guess something in kernel/reboot changes something?

Can you tell me whether the problem is still persisting in more
recent FreeBSD versions like 6.1? thanks
