>Description:
When i boot up with ACPI off (otherwise it will not boot), and boot the installer off of the cd, the installer pops up at first saying "Probing for harding (this may take awhile)" (at least to my best recolection). After waiting many many minutes this screen continues to stay there.

My hardware is an AMD 2400 epox-8rda3+ (newer version of 8rda w/ sata) mobo
nvidia 5900gfx card
512mb memory
non sata IDE hd's

State-Changed-Why:
Hello,

Did you resolve the problem? Does this still occur on later
FreeBSD releases? What is the exact hardware that you are
using if the problem is still there?

Can you update me on these questions please so that we can
try to resolve this to the best of our abilities.
