>Description:
While installing a port the systems suddenly turns off the power without shutting down FreeBSD. The problem was not testet with other ports than the "kde-lite"-port. By the way the system has problems with ACPI turned on in BIOS and will not boot futher than "Timecounters tick every 10.000msec", but that's not a big problem for me, i'm turning ACPI off in the BIOS.

My Hardware:
Mainboard: DFI NFII Ultra Infinity
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Chipset: nvidia nforce2
>How-To-Repeat:
Just installing the port /usr/ports/x11/kde-lite (Power will be turned off a few times)

State-Changed-Why:
Sorry for looking into this rather late:
Is this still a problem with 5.3/5.4-PRERELEASE? Have you
ruled out temparature problems and checked related settings
in the BIOS?
