>Description:

When using a SYNC 570/i 2 port card connected to a Adtran TSU using V.35 over a B8ZS/ESF T1 which has a Juniper OR Cisco connected
at the far end, the driver will get in a loop when the line gets loaded (at about 4kb/sec) causing the router to lockup.

>How-To-Repeat:

After booting the kernel in which the ar driver is available (or do a module load, it doesn't matter), configure the card by
issuing the following commmand:

ifconfig ar0 XX.XX.XX.XX YY.YY.YY.YY link2 up

XX.XX.XX.XX is the local link address and YY.YY.YY.YY is the link address at the far end where the Juniper or Cisco are located.

The line will come up and you can verify connectivity with by executing "ping YY.YY.YY.YY".

Now, load up the line a little bit using the command "ping -f YY.YY.YY.YY" and wait about four minutes.

Around that time, the router will show the line is up but the line protocol is down and the PC will have two messages displyed on
it rapidly. The two lines look like this:

ar0: Receive error chan 0, stat ff msci st3 3, rxhind 410, cda f, eda 4ff0.
ar0: eat pkt 1977 loop, cda 0xd1bda00f, rxdesc 0xd1bdf004, stat ff.

Note that this same box with the Emerging Technologies Sync card and their driver. Unfortunately, they don't support IPv6 and I
need that to work for me under FreeBSD

One more thing: I tested this with a Cisco box running PPP as well. I
 also go the same results.

Also, I realized I left out a couple of words in the next to last
sentence in my PR. That should have read "Note that this same box with
the Emerging Technologies Sync card and their driver works fine."

I would have to setup to try this. I will try to do that for you in the
 next week or so.

Right now, I am running FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE-p7, but I am using the lmc
driver (of recent vintage that I got from the driver author).
