>Description:

When using a Digiboard SYNC 570/i 2 port card connected via V.35
to an Adtran TSU which is connected to a T-1 which has either a
Cisco or a Juniper on the far end configured to support Cisco-HDLC
at Layer 2, the driver will get into a loop and lock up
the system when the line is loaded up with traffic.

>How-To-Repeat:

Configure a kernel with the ar driver, install a SYNC 570/i 2 port
card and connect it to a T-1. Configure the card using the ifconfig
        command of the form:
            ifconfig ar XX.XX.XX.XX YY.YY.YY.YY link2 up

Use 'ping -f YY.YY.YY.YY' to load up the line.

Wait about three or four minutes and the system will lock up with
the following error message repeating at a rapid rate on the console:

        ar0: Receive error chan 0, stat ff, msci st3 3, rxhind 410, cda 8f00, eda 4f00.
ar0: eat pkt 1977 loop, cda 0xd1be2f00, rxdesc 0xd1bdf004, stat ff

At this point, the only way to recover is to do push reset.

The CSU does continue to show that there is transmit and receive
on the line with no alarms.

The Cisco/Juniper do show the line is up, but the Layer 2 (HDLC) is
        down.

This occurs with difference DSU/CSUs as well. I am able to
make all this work just fine if I use the Emerging Technologies
PCI Sync card and the driver they bundle. Unfortunately, they
don't support IPv6 and I need that for my work.
