>Description:
System hangs when Promise TX2 Ultra 100 controller is installed.
The controller is used as one of a combination of ata controllers in
a 'vinum' environment. The system hangs randomly when performing
a 'newfs -v /dev/vinum/usr3' on the vinum device.

The system also had a Promise Ultra66 (pci card) and a HiPoint ATA
controller (part of ABit KT7A raid motherboard).

No kernel panic, no error messages of any kind. It seems as if the
controller board just locks up interrupts. No keyboard response after
 hangup.

If I replace the TX2 with an Ultra66, there are no problems.

I can't see how this would be vinum related. I have not tried the disk
alone. The disk used is an IBM Deskstar IC35L080AVVA07 80G drive.
