>Environment:

	i386

>Description:

i386 5.0-RELEASE install CD kernel panics during boot from
CD. The panic occurs during probe of devices and the
        message is:
        panic: inthand_add: Can't initialize ICU
The system is a SuperMicro P6DGE motherboard with 2 400MHz
Intel Pentium-II CPUs. The system has a Tekram DC-390F
SCSI controller, Intel e100 10/100 ethernet card, a US
Robotics ISA modem, an ATI Rage Fury AGP video card and
a SoundBlaster PCI 128 sound card.
This system works fine with FreeBSD-4.2.

>How-To-Repeat:

Put in the FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE i386 CD in the CDROM drive
        and boot.

It does exactly the same thing with 5.1-RELEASE install CD: kernel panic
during boot sequence, exactly the same error message: inthand_add: Can't
 initialize ICU

State-Changed-Why:
Submitter confirms the problem still persists. This appears
to be some kind of hardware compatibility or configuration
issue.

State-Changed-Why:
Can you retry with 5.2.1?
What was the last device probed before the panic happend (the modem?)
If the error still occurs, can you try to disable this device? (via BIOS
or by unplugging).
