>Description:
The Program in sys/i386/boot/dosboot is obsolete and unmaintained.
(rnordier claimed this in i386/2234 in 1999 and it is still in the tree
	:-)

It is only able to boot a.out Kernels (e.g. FreeBSD-3.0), not ELF.
	(reported by Gerhard Gonter, gonter@wu-wien.ac.at)

It may be replaced by this program:
	http://www.nurs.or.jp/~kurati/bsd/index-en.html
which is reported to work with actual kernels.
	(reported by Klaus Goger, beeblebro@gmx.net)

>How-To-Repeat:
Try to boot a kernel with fbsdboot.exe it reports "Invalid Format"

>Fix:

State-Changed-When: Sun Jul 13 00:38:43 PDT 2003
State-Changed-Why:
See /pub/FreeBSD/tools/bsdboot on the FreeBSD FTP sites (a new version
has just been uploaded with better English language documentation, and
will be available on the mirrors soon). This obviates the old
dosboot/fbsdboot stuff, which should be removed from the tree soon.
Future FreeBSD release ISO images will have the updated bsdboot program in the tools directory.
