Gnome/Sawfish was tested successfully with FreeBSD 4.5 before the
ISOs were distributed. Can you please download the 4.5 ISOs (your PR
says this was only checked with RC3, which had several package-related
problems). The desktop menu options are part of the re checklist. If
the components from this menu do not install and appear to at least be
minimally functional, then the release is not finished.

We could certainly use your help testing the FreeBSD 4.6 RCs as they
become available in the coming weeks.

State-Changed-When: Mon May 20 17:05:30 PDT 2002
State-Changed-Why:
The error was due to a buffer limitation (truncation) in sysinstall.
It is fixed in src/release/sysinstall/index.c 1.80.2.16 and was included
in the 4.6-RC2 ISO archive.
