>Description:
Have been trying to add a system printer. Have checked the kernel and it
is configured per 7.4.2.1 if the manual. At /dev, a ls -l
returns crw------- 1 root wheel 16, 0 May 22 15:29 lpt0
and I have run the lptcontrol -i -u 0 command. The next
step is to test if the printer is capable of printing. I
run the lptest > /dev/lpt0 and it sits for awhile and
gives me back a device busy message.....I've checked
the printer to make sure it is on and no alarms. The
printer cable is secure. There is paper in the printer..
I'm at a loss......

Your help will be appreciated.
