      I boot it up using floppies so i can install it over a local ftp server.  I choose the 3com drivers and watch it boot, sometimes the link light comes on and sometimes it doesnt, when it did come on, i tried all 3 of the e0 and they all crash right after i enter the ip info. P.S. I have a 3com etherlink III

 This does not provide anyone who know how to help you with enough
 information about the rest of the hardware you have though.  For a bug
 report to be meaningful, you have to provide all the relevant information.
 
 a) A description of the hardware you have.
 b) What release of FreeBSD are you trying to install.
 
 Since you're seeing a panic, while trying to install, it might also be
 helpful to write down on a piece of paper the exact messages you see on
 your monitor, in case someone can understand by reading them what went
 wrong...
