>Description:
I have upgraded my machine and tried to install Fbsd on the new machine.
on the boot loader it detected that there is a Drive C by bios but further
down the road (until sysinstall) it didn't detect it again during the boot
up procedure.

my HD is connected to the single Serial IDE port on the mboard.
the boot up detects that there r sata ports which r empty(which is true)
but doesn't detect any IDE ATA drive.

note that I used to run fbsd from that HD on the old pc.

I have a Intel GuardFish D965GFEKR mboard
the controller is: Intel Q965 Express Chipset
the cpu: conroe 6400 2.4 MHz.
HDD: 200GB ATA IDE western digital.

the same issue happens on other un*x like platforms - checked Ubuntu and Gentoo

Best Regards !

State-Changed-Why:
If problem still exist, retesting with recent versions required.
If problem is still here, `pciconf -lv` and verbose boot messages
needed to understand the problem.
