State-Changed-When: Wed Aug 23 10:25:11 UTC 2006
State-Changed-Why:
Are you having these problems with other hardware platforms?
Does the drive support LBA and such?

At the moment i am thinking that this is a limitation of your
local hardware and not in FreeBSD's software.
