>Description:
Section 20.4.13 of the handbook, http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/makeworld.html states
20.4.13 Update /stand
Note: This step is included only for completeness. It can safely be omitted. If
you are using FreeBSD 5.2 or later, the /rescue directory is automatically
updated for the user with current, statically compiled binaries during make
installworld, thus obsoleting the need to update /stand (which does not exist
at all on FreeBSD 5.2 and later).

Yet, on a clean install of 5.4(new disk, not updated from a previous release)
/stand is installed/included, /usr/src/release/stand is not.

State-Changed-When: Fri Aug 19 09:27:55 GMT 2005
State-Changed-Why:
I changed Handbook to suggest that /stand does not need to be updated since
5.2, and is fully gone from 6.0.
