While trying to install 2.2.6, the system hangs after boot the kernel.  I tried  disabling all conflicting
devices but the system still hangs.   It identifies PCI bus 0, chip 0-4, vga0 and vx0 then hangs.

 As a Micron user I am familiar with this problem.   Freebsd hangs
 when loading the vx0 driver under -current and apparently 2.2.X.
 Disabling "Plug and Play Operating System" in the BIOS will
 allow the system to boot.
