>Description:

Either I have to go back to school, or "Often times real life happens in
the life of a hat." doesn't make much sense. I guess what is meant is
"Sometimes real life happens..." or "Often...". The attached patch
changes it to Sometimes.

I'd prefer something like "Often real life interferes with a hat's ability
 to perform their duties".

 What do you think ?

It looks like "Oftentimes, real life ..." was meant, but, while it
apparently reflects the writer's meaning better than "Sometimes", it
probably sounds too egg-headed, at least when used in an attempt at
humor, as it is. (The comma is probably optional. I'd use one.)
