>Description:
The man page says that "Each line has five mandatory fields and four
optional fields, with a whitespace separating each field." This should
be changed to read "...with whitespace..."; multiple whitespace
characters may be used between fields, if desired.

Also, it is not clear that the use of a size and a time together will
not fire if just the size criterion is met. So, if you want to trim
the maillog at midnight OR if it reaches 5000 KB, you need two entries.
Somehow, this needs to be clarified.

Responsible-Changed-Why:
I've recently done work in this area.

State-Changed-When: Tue Jun 22 17:24:17 GMT 2004
State-Changed-Why:
I personally redid a good bit of the newsyslog.conf information and
placed it into the newsyslog.conf.5 manual page. During this
I noticed the following:

If a time is specified, the log file will only be trimmed if
newsyslog(8) is run within one hour of the specified time. If an
interval is specified, the log file will be trimmed if that many
hours have passed since the last rotation. When both a time and
an interval are specified then both conditions must be satisfied
for the rotation to take place.

I feel this fixes the other half of the PR.
