If someone knows how to insert files in vi, I'd like to know! :-)

I'm sure there's a much more smooth way, but

 !!cat /etc/includeme

 usually works! :)

Prev. responsible was going to merge this into the handbook "soon". That
hasn't happened. Let's see if we can convince someone else to do this.
Should be almost as simple as "cvs add"....

NB: ":r" reads-in files. Some poor fool suggested the ugly "!!" kludge
here. WTF was he thinking?

A lot of functionality has been added to ppp such as optional forth
columns in ppp.secret and dynamic IP assignment. I haven't read
through this document, but I'll bet it doesn't cover this stuff.

Whoever takes this should read the man page fully before submitting.

 Doug / Brian,

I saw this old pr about the ppp docs which Doug one time had up on
the URL provided in the PR.

Can the two of you evaluate the current docs on ppp and either close this
pr saying its sufficient wrt the original pr, or else look at what needs
to be done and either fix it yerself or pass the information along to me
so something can be done about this?

 Thanks,

I'm not sure why Brian is in on this, it's for pppd, not ppp.

I'm going to close the PR. It's woefully out of date, and I doubt I'll
have time to rewrite it anytime soon.
