I think there's a typo in section 8.6 "Making use of SUB_FILES and SUB_LIST" in Porter's Handbook. 

The paragraph is [currently] as follows:

 "For the files pkg-message, pkg-install, pkg-deinstall and pkg-reg, the corresponding Makefile variable is automatically set to point to the processed version."

I think the correct word should be "pkg-req" (req as in "requirement"), not "pkg-reg" (reg as in "register").
