2.2 Building a NanoBSD image
A NanoBSD image is built using a simple nanobsd.sh shell script, which can be found in the /usr/src/tools/tools/nanobsd directory. This script creates an image, which can be copied on the storage medium using the dd(1) utility.

There is no /usr/src/tools/tools/nanobsd directory in the base release.

Maybe the nanobsd.sh has been Forgotten and left out of the base system by error. locate command does not find it and there is no port for it.

State-Changed-Why:
I could not reproduce your approach. The directory and
file in question is definitely part of 8.0-RELEASE.
The article is correct in that regard. PR closed.
