In http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/history.html the paragraphs about RELENG_5 and RELENG_6 sound really awkward to me. I am not a native speaker though, so take my rephrasing with a grain of salt.

Apart from that, the RELENG_5 paragraph states that there will be additional releases from that branch after 5.5-REL. I am in serious doubt.
