It might be usefull not to include 'options BOUNCE_BUFFERS'  for 
boot.flp's kernel in at least 3.0-SNAP's, since there could be more 
than 256Mb (current maximum -current can stand with BOUNCE_BUFFERS enabled)
RAM on a computer. Although the problem might be more complicated.
