>Description:
the data in /usr/src/share/zoneinfo is out of date.

in particular, Pakistan has recinded DST.

but a diff between the current FreeBSD data and that located at ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/ indicates numerous other changes.

it might be an idea to have someone check those files periodically, so that the current timezone info is relevant.

>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
update /usr/src/share/zoneinfo with data from ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/

Hello Jim,

There are two ways to make sure you always have the most up-to-date
version of the zoneinfo database on your FreeBSD machines:

- Install the port misc/zoneinfo.
- Follow the STABLE version of FreeBSD instead of the release version.

misc/zoneinfo and 6-STABLE, 7-STABLE and 8-STABLE are currently up
to date with tzdata2010j.

Afterwards, don't forget to run tzsetup to make sure you install
the latest version!

Edwin
