>Description:
Recently when I tried to install Free BSD 6.1 everything was going fine until it came to partition recognition.

It seems that Free BSD 6.1 only recognizes 1 primary partition (Windows) and 1 logical partition. Unfortunately, the logical partition had two (2) subdivisions one of which contained all my backed up data.

Since it was not clear which partition it intended to install on, I doubled checked inside of Windows after a reboot and found that Free BSD had overwritten my data partition and every other logical partition on the HDD.

Now I have been using Linux for over 5 years and have never had this happen.

It seems to me that you need to have your installer recognize EVERY partition on a HDD not just One Primary and One Logical. Whomever put this patitioniner together needs to be reassigned to much simpler tasks. This partitioner is made for morons who are not smart enough to create DATA parttions to save data on.

I was looking forward to trying Free BSD 6.1 because of all the Apps that were included on the CDs.

Now, Free BSD is just another set of CDs in my Linux collection that will never be installed on any computer that I operate.
