 Hi,
 
 Could you please confirm this is fixed in a more recent version of
 FreeBSD?  It seems to have been fixed before FreeBSD 5.3 was released,
 and as a result should work in all supported releases.  It almost
 certainly will not be fixed in 4.x now, as that branch has reached the
 end of it's life.
