>Description:
I think the problem is known: I found something searching on
the Internet, but not the solution to the problem. I booted
from the installation CD ROM and arrived up to a certain point
in the installation, that is where I had to choose the
installation media, but then I couldn't select CD/DVD, getting
the error message. Is the hardware simply not supported
(CRD-8322B on an IBM NetFinity 5000)? And isn't it strange
that I booted from the same CD device that is not supported?
Another thing: I had to select the "safe mode" of installation,
otrherwise I got stuck soon, after the message "md0: Preloaded
      image </mfsroot>..."
Thank you, Ivan Makale

State-Changed-Why:
This looks something like http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=40260 -
please try disabling any non-essential devices possible in your BIOS
and see if you can resolve the "no CD/DVD devices found" error.
