Nver got that far.
>Description:
PPP starts out unconnected thus "ppp".
I type "term", and then type "atdt<phone#>".
It connects and asks for my login and password, which I enter.
Then a PPP session goes to start the "ppp" becomes "PPP" but then it reverts directly back to "ppp" again.
It's still connected but it's not completely connected.
I type "show route" and nothing is in the routing table.
>How-To-Repeat:
Just boot up with any "boot.flp" from any of the above mentioned FreeBSD Releases.
If you want to make a couple and let me know where to dl'd them from I'd be glad to do some testing.
For now I'm going to download all of 2.2.6-RELEASE onto a FAT32 HDD and hope I can install from that or another FAT16 HDD.
>Fix:
I didn't seem to have a problem with FreeBSD 2.2.5-RELEASE.
If I remember correctly that one seemed to work but for some reason it didn't feel like it was going at 43,666 bps. (I tried connected at 33,600 bps to see if it went at that speed right. It also seemed to lagg. Not sure why.)
I had done this before several times with an AcerOpen 33.6 and had pretty good throughoutput. However, my USR Courier V.Everything seems to not be going too well with PPP.

State-Changed-Why:
This is not a bug report, it's a pilot error.
Read http://www.FreeBSD.org/FAQ/userppp.html.
A good way to start diagnosing the problem is with the ``set log local''
command.
