>Release: 4.6
>Organization:
>Environment:
FreeBSD 4.6
>Description:
The following are the problems that I experienced:-
1. CLI based configuration does not [have option to] save config changes
2. Visual configuration does not allow user to set irq of pcmcia card
3. disabling the pcmcia device in CLI/GUI based config does not skip the probe.
4. In order to get the boot from CDROM to continue after it failed to
recognize pcmcia card, I had to set eisa to 1. a timeout in case of
unrecognized hardware will help in installing a barebones OS.
5. the option not to install a boot-loader/touch the MBR does not leave
it intact. it sets the FreeBSD partition as bootable, and the previous
   partition loses its bootable flag.

>How-To-Repeat:
get yourself a dell 2600 laptop and try it out.

State-Changed-When: Tue Jan 29 13:04:56 UTC 2008
State-Changed-Why:
Issues 1,2 and 3 are obsoleted by the removal of the HW config interface
before 5.0 was released. Issue 5 is a duplicate of bin/48341.

To submitter: Do you know if issue 4 is still a problem on more recent
versions of FreeBSD?

State-Changed-Why:
Submitter no longer uses FreeBSD. Given the amount that has changed since
FreeBSD 4.6, I think we'll have to just close this PR.
