>Description:
ppp with pppoe (ADSL) panic the system if no IP specified on fxp ethernet card.
I had no time to test it on another machine or other options because i had to be quick ( installation of a FreeBSD router at a clients site).
So I'm not sure if this happens with other cards too.
I will repeat the abowe in a 4-5 days term.

>How-To-Repeat:
Try ppp with pppoe (ADSL) with an fxp without setting any IP to the fxp card.

>Fix:
    None available.

Responsible-Changed-When: Tue Jan 22 05:35:08 PST 2002
Responsible-Changed-Why:
I now have an fxp card (donated by Brett Glass), so I guess I'd better fix this.

State-Changed-By: brian
State-Changed-When: Tue Jun 29 10:17:38 GMT 2004
State-Changed-Why:
When using an interface for PPPoE, ppp now IFF_UPs the interface. The
fxp driver also drops packets when not IFF_RUNNING.

Thus the problem is now fixed in both places (and has been for some time).
