From the manpage: When -W is also present, show the path MTU for
each route, and print interface names with a wider field size.

Netif is major field and must not be truncated by default I think.

 # netstat -h -I vlan407 | less
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Idrop Opkts Oerrs Coll
 vlan4 1500 <Link#33> 00:30:67:9d:8f:26 502M 0 0 27M 362 0

or maybe update man page that NOTICE -W flag in beginning. That will
 be handy

-W has been in the man page for a long time. The arguments on each
section are usually sorted alphabetically there.

If you want to see your vlan<n> names in the default view, renaming the
interfaces to v<n> - or whatever pleases you - should do the trick.

I think this is not a bug.
If you feel the man page should look "more modern" with a synopsis feel
free to submit a patch for that as a follow-up.
