and systat says:

root perl XXXXXXX
news innd XXX
root newsexpire XX

Only two perls were present:

USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TT STAT STARTED TIME COMMAND
root 5839 14.8 0.0 0 0 ?? Z - 0:00.00 (perl)
root 221 0.0 0.0 1492 0 ?? IW Mon12PM 0:00.04 /usr/local/bin/perl /usr/local/ripe-db/bin/whoisd

whoisd isn't doing anything, but there is a zombie.

I watched it for several minutes, but the mysterious perl was sitting
there all the time. Could zombies confuse systat somehow?

>How-To-Repeat:

Not sure. I do not see this on other machines but they do not have
zombies around and they are less loaded.

>Fix:
