>Organization:
Clinet, Espoo, Finland
>Environment:

	-current

>Description:

telnet -8 does not seem to work from FreeBSD any more, try

		telnet shadows.cs.hut.fi -8

	while

		telnet shadows.cs.hut.fi

	works.

>How-To-Repeat:

telnet a SunOS or Solaris machine with -8 option. I don't know
for sure if it is SunOS, but with Solaris FreeBSD exhibits this
	behavior.

>Fix:

I don't know whether this is a bug in FreeBSD or Solaris/SunOS.

If you use 'telnet -8 hostname' it works fine. If you do 'telnet
hostname -8' it thinks you're specifying a port. I think it's safe to
 close this one. :)

State-Changed-Why:
The -8 argument must be supplied before the hostname or it
is interpreted as a port value.
