>Description:
1. PACKAGES: tiff is missing
when I select to install packages
  requiring gnome/gtk tiff-XXX package
isn't found on CD. When I later install
  it manually nome istalls fine.
2. PACKAGES: there should be gnome2 or gnome2-lite
package on CD that encapsulates all other gnome
stuff, none of these appear to be on CD.
3. KERNEL MODULES: no linux.ko seems to be in
   /boot/kernel.
I expect amd64 version to run linux-32 applications
  since there's abundance of those.

Yuri
>How-To-Repeat:
Install amd64-BETA6 and try install all packages.

Responsible-Changed-Why:
Reassigned to a Release Engineer.

Also, there is no linux.ko -- the linux32 support must be statically compiled
into the kernel. So this isn't a bug. Also it isn't as usable as in
alpha and i386 yet. It should be taken as an experimental peice of
functionality at this time.

State-Changed-When: Mon Nov 1 17:57:30 GMT 2004
State-Changed-Why:

David O'Brien explained about linux.ko. I have verified that the
gnome/gtk and gnome/gnome2 packages are present on RC2.

Thanks for the report.
