>Description:
when attempting to install virtual box using pkg_add -vr virtualbox-ose the download stops at this line.

x share/doc/qt4/qch/qmake.qch
x share/doc/qt4/qch/qt.qchWaiting for final status

This happens repeatedly. Before attempting this install I upgraded from 9.0-RC3 to 9.0-RELEASE

My apologies. It appears that this is an out of disk space issue. I have
32 GB of disk space but I didn't remember that I partitioned it. I have 23
GB on /usr but the virtualbox download filled up /. I can change the
download location on pkg_add but if I do will virtualbox still behave and
 launch as it was designed?
Otherwise, is there any steps I can take to "join" / and /usr without a
 complete startover?

 Thanks.
