Trying to install FreeBSD 6.2, but cannot find any hard disk.

I have two identical machines: shuttle ST20G5 (uses the M5287 SATA controller)
Both machines can see the sata drives with FreeBsd 6.1, but cannot see
 it with FreeBSD 6.2
One machine is in use as a web server (FreeBSD 6.1)
I am using the other one to try and upgrade to FreeBSD 6.2, however I
cannot load FreeBSD 6.2 on it as it fails to see the sata disk during
installation. I have installed FreeBSD6.2 on a pata drive and was going
to rebuild the kernel to see if updated code would help.
Now I think I should load 6.1 and try cvs upgrade to 6.2 and try it that
 way.
 What do you think?

I think I'd rather see the dmesg output from the 6.2 system booted
via the pata drive, with the sata drive attached, so we can compare
the messages; rather than the cvs upgrade. It might save you some time.

Dear submitter,

A fix that is likely to be related has been MFC'ed before
6.3-RELEASE, so I guess this might be already fixed in recent
FreeBSD versions, could you please give us some feedback?

Thanks in advance!
