Symptom:

During the xf start you get the following error message: 
can't read "tcl_platform(platform)": no such variable

Cause:

The variable is only defined from Tk 4.1 on. However, the 4.0 is still contained in S.u.S.E. Linux 4.4.

Solution:

Add in /usr/X11R6/lib/tk4.0/tk.tcl the following line: 
set tcl_platform(platform) "unix"

Hint:

Repaired from S.u.S.E. Linux 4.4.1 on.
