MuPAD crashes with NUMLOCK

Symptom: MuPAD crashes

You have called the programme xmupad. Suddenly it crashes with the message: 
X Error of failed request:  BadValue (integer parameter out of range for 
operation)
  Major opcode of failed request:  101 (X_GetKeyboardMapping)
  Value in failed request:  0x0
  Serial number of failed request:  749
  Current serial number in output stream:  749
Only the HyTeX help system by MuPAD still works.

Cause: NUMLOCK pushed

You have pressed the NUMLOCK key. It seems to give an error in the XView library, that causes this.

Solution:

As long as you work with MuPAD, avoid pressing the NUMLOCK key.
