SuSE Linux: Version 4.4
eth0.
Right after a PPP connection was configured, you do not have
access to the local net anymore. If PPP (that is, the device
ippp0 or ppp0) was not configured, the local net
still works.
In /var/log/messages the following error message appears:
kernel: ARP: arp called for own IP address
ippp0 configured?
Probably you have declared 0.0.0.0 as local IP number of the point to point
connection .
Enter an authentic IP number (no net address), e.g.:
IFCONFIG_3="193.141.17.73 pointopoint 1.1.1.1 metric 1"
